UltraGuard unique patented design (# 4914313) is engineered to function reliably even under the most demanding conditions. The tamper proof construction protects against vibrations, dust, dirt and water. Operates in both 12 volt and 24 volt systems. Thousands of units have been sold and continue to function flawlessly. UltraGuard unit is rated for over 100 million operations.

Once a problem condition is detected, UltraGuard alerts the operator by sounding a 30 second alarm and then safely shuts down the engine if the problem is not corrected. Reliance on simple gauges and warning lights is not sufficient. Operator failure to properly monitor a gauge can lead to major engine damage. UltraGuard alarm commands immediate attention.

UltraGuard continues to protect the engine until the problem is resolved. If the problem has not been corrected and the engine is restarted, the 30-second alarm will sound once again and the engine will shut down. An optional display indicates the reason for the system shut down.

UltraGuard has a unique key-on self test (alarm sounds briefly) that indicates the unit is functioning properly. The key-on feature also alerts the operator that the key switch has been left in the "on" position while the engine is not running, thereby reducing the chance of a dead battery.

UltraGuard does not affect normal operations of equipment. Engine shut down is accomplished by interrupting the ignition circuit on gasoline engines and by interrupting fuel flow on diesel engines, just as though the key had been turned off. Engines can be restarted by cycling the key switch. However, the engine will run only for 30 second intervals until the problem is corrected. An optional system over ride switch can be installed if desired.
