UltraGuard can be used as a stand-alone system or communicate with an Alarm Panel. Each of the four zones has an independent set of contacts. A single set of fault contacts reports a fault condition in any zone. The Alarm Company receives information about both the type of problem and the location of an alarm in the residence.

The Front Panel Lights reflect the status of each function: Alarms, Sensors’ integrity and life span, low temperature condition. A problem or fault activates Trouble Light and affected Zone lights blink. Light remains ON to indicate fault type until the problem is corrected.

UltraGuard uses the most advanced and reliable technology available today. Our Sensors imitate the human body's absorption of CO with 99% accuracy, as tested by the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory.

When the Control Unit receives a dangerous CO concentration signal, a relay shuts down the connected furnace, the source of 95% of CO Gas accidents. The system allows the furnace to restart automatically when CO dissipates.
The Control Unit has inputs for four zones and up to 7 Detectors, allowing reliable individual monitoring of each designated zone with up to five sensors per zone. Each of the four zones communicates with a relay unique to that zone and, in the case of a fault, a common relay communicates the condition to the Alarm Panel. Units can be stacked, gaining additional 3 zones per each additionally stacked unit.

In Alarm Mode both the Control Unit and each affected CO Detector sound siren. In the Trouble mode, the sensor emits a chirping sound every thirty seconds and the Control Unit once a second until reset button is pushed.
An internal five-year clock alerts when a sensor expiration date nears. The clock is reset when sensors are replaced.

UltraGuard CO Sensors are configured to communicate alarms and faults to Control Unit and, if connected, Alarm Panel.
Each CO Detector performs an automatic internal self-test every ten minutes for proper operation. A problem or fault activates the Trouble Light on the Control Unit.
If the temperature drops below 45°F due to furnace failure UltraGuard triggers a chirping signal and transmits the information to Alarm Panel.
The Control Unit is easily installed via “snap-in” connectors. No jumpers required for unused zones.
