First developed over ten years ago, the "brain" had been used exclusively in the industrial market as a monitor and shutdown system for combustion engine powered equipment. This original product, the Ultra Guard 2000, is a proactive device that monitors and senses vital engine conditions and protects against potentially catastrophic failure by sounding off an alarm and shutting down the engine, thus saving thousands of dollars in repair or replacement of equipment.

Rental equipment is particularly vulnerable to abuse by operators untrained in proper maintenance and operation, and unconcerned with the damage their negligence might cause. In order to meet the challenges and needs of this market, ECS Management's first efforts went to improving the Ultra Guard Monitor and Shutdown System, which previously had been marketed in this industrial arena. Ultimately, Management's intent is to introduce a new product with logic and the capability to monitor off-site equipment via satellite or other means of wireless communication. These enhancements to the existing product are a result of research, due diligence and particularly direct requests from existing and potential customers eager to purchase an inexpensive product that can be scanned for information as well as relay information back from the field should the Ultra Guard shut down an engine in operation.

No other product has a sensor and an electronic "brain" that combined will both detect carbon monoxide buildup in the home and take the additional safety action of shutting down the furnace, the most common cause of this poison. Our product, the CO Safety System, is the ultimate in carbon monoxide protection. Not only does the Ultra Guard sound off a loud alarm when it detects potentially dangerous levels of carbon monoxide, but more importantly, it will shut down the furnace. If the home is equipped with a monitored alarm system, the unit will simultaneously alert the alarm company or the fire department of this life-threatening problem. Either way, hardwired to an alarm box or stand alone, our Ultra Guard Safety System takes the life saving action needed, and shuts down the most common cause of carbon monoxide poisoning, the furnace. When the gases subside, the Ultra Guard will allow your furnace to automatically restart. If other sources create dangerous levels of carbon monoxide, our system will detect the problem and sound a loud alarm alerting everyone to leave the home or building immediately.

The Marine Alert is a product that prevents engine startup if it detects potentially explosive gas vapors that can build up in the bilge of a boat when, for example, refueling at a gas dock. Should potentially explosive vapors be detected Ultra Guard Marine Alert will sound an alarm, but more significantly, it will not let the operator start the engine until a safe condition has been established. Once the Ultra Guard no longer detects further danger, it will allow full operating capability.
